Objective: HTI implemented a Product Data Management
(PDM) system to help reduce time to market. Over 900 employees across
the Midwest needed to learn to use the system in a short timeframe.
Development tools: Macromedia® Dreamweaver®,
Macromedia Authorware®, Adobe® PhotoShop®, and JavaScript.
Highlights: Fredrickson devised a cost-effective
strategy that combined classroom and web-based training. A centralized
group who maintained the system learned their tasks in small-group classroom
training. The much larger and dispersed "view-only" audience
learned their tasks via the web.
The learning content included guided and practice activities
and quizzes.
