Regulatory Information Demystified Solution:
Web-based training.
Client: Minnesota Department of Human Services
(MN DHS) and Ramsey County.
Objective: MN DHS and Ramsey County faced the daunting
task of providing information privacy training for their own widely dispersed
staffs. In addition, they wanted to make the training available to subcontracted
private sector providers and other Minnesota counties.
With a potential audience of 30,000 users who require annual
training to keep up with changing regulations, the clients needed a Web-based
solution that could be easily maintained.
Fredrickson collaborated with go-e-biz
on design and development of the WBT. Fredrickson managed the project,
designed the course structure and interface, developed the content, and
created interactions and quiz questions. Development
tools: Macromedia® Dreamweaver®, DHTML, JavaScript, Cascading
Style Sheets, Adobe® PhotoShop®.
Highlights: The course successfully
translates often baffling regulatory and legal language into plain understandable
English. In addition, a wealth of practical examples help users incorporate
regulatory requirements into everyday job tasks.
